- how to image deep space objects from the city

- how to process astrophotography data to produce professional images

Deepscape Astrophotography

- how to plan a shot

- how to shoot foreground

- how to process and edit deepscape images

- knowledge of Deep Space Astrophotography required to take this workshop

Landscape Astrophotography

- how to plan your shot

- how to focus on the stars

- best gear and lenses

- how to shoot and process panorama

Timelapse Astrophotography

- how to shoot a timelapse of the night sky

- gear for timelapse photography

- editing timelapse to create video

how we teach

Deep Space Astrophotography is taught in 4 parts - theory, equipment, imaging, post processing.

Part 1 -Lecture on the Theory of Astrophotography + Q&A

Part 2 - Gear Questionnaire - We recommend and provide you a gear list with links to where to buy

Part 3 - We meet at shooting location to guide you  through the  imaging processes

Part 4 - We  guide you through the post processing steps to producing images

Deepscape Astrophotography - We teach how to plan and shoot DSO's with epic foregrounds!

Experience and knowledge of how to shoot Deep Space Astrophotography is required to participate in this workshop.

Landscape Astrophotography - Learn how to shoot night sky landscapes, how to polar align, gear, planning and editing.

Timelapse Astrophotography - Learn what gear and softwares you will need  to make timelapse videos of the night sky.  We guide you hands on in the imaging processes at the shooting location and we guide you through the editing processes to produce timelapse video.

what and where and when

We offer workshops all year.

From March to September we travel to dark skies locations.

2022 Workshops coming to Texas, Utah, Arizona, California, and Nevada, Israel and Jordon.

Shooting workshops are scheduled during new moon each month from March through September.

info

You must have  knowledge of how to operate your camera in manual!

LEARN ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY

THE AMAZING NIGHT SKY VIEW FROM THE DESERT

WHO ARE THESE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS FOR?

Deep Space Workshops provides workshops on how to produce professional astrophotography images. We offer workshops in Deep Space Imaging of the night skies, Landscapes Astrophotography, Timelapse & Hyperlapse techniques ,  Timelapse & Hyperlapse Video Post Processing and Astrophotography Image Post Processing workshops.  With our experience using a variety of mounts, cameras,  filters and astrophotography gear, we guide students in what is needed to build, set up, shoot and process a personalized astrophotography gear kit to fit your budget. We provide complete education in deep space imaging and processing for beginning astrophotographers and continuing education for advanced astrophotographers.

THE AMAZING NIGHT SKY VIEW FROM THE DESERT

You saw an amazing nightscape image that you want to learn how to shoot? You want to learn how to shoot astrophotography or improve your astrophotography processing skills? Here is your opportunity to make it happen! We are here to guide you through each step of the process. There is nothing like dark skies! When you get away from the city lights,  the clear night sky is full of color. To be out in the desert on a clear moonless night and see billions of stars lighting the sky,  an enormous trail of stars crossing overhead is simply an amazing sight! To actually see the Sagittarius Spiral Arm known as the Milkyway is a sight you will never forget, but what your eyes can see is nothing compared to what your camera is capable of imaging. Astrophotography images are far better when away from city lights that “pollute” the sky.  Imaging from dark skies is the ultimate astrophotography experience. Let us take you there so you will see for yourself, and allow us the pleasure of teaching you how to photograph it all!

Deep Space Astrophotography Workshops

Our Astrophotography Workshops are your opportunity to learn how to shoot the perfect astrophotography images.

Our works have been  published by NASA , National Geographic, and many more.  We have the experience to educate and guide in how to create professional nightscape astrophotography images.

Hosting our astrophotography workshops  in the most beautiful landscapes across the USA in some of the darkest skies on earth, we take you to  the  perfect  locations for astrophotography imaging.

If your backyard is as far as you want to go with your gear, we'll come to you and teach you how to shoot astrophotography  through the light pollution!

Learn how to image Galaxies, Star Clusters and Nebulae in our Deep Space astrophotography workshops, or join us to learn timelapse astrophotography, or how make beautiful milkyway images in landscapes astrophotography, or go deeper and learn how to plan and shoot Deepscapes and Panorama astrophotography.

No matter your skill level, we invite you to join us to explore deep space in an adventure of professional  astrophotography imaging. All you need to get started in astrophotography is basically  an SLR camera, lens, tripod, star tracker, and to  know how to operate your camera in manual.
